March Madness has pretty much become a national holiday with everyone coming together and continuing the tournament’s traditions.

The most important of these traditions, of course, is filling out your bracket.

Unfortunately, filling out that bracket is illegal.

That means the estimated 50 million people who will take part in a March Madness office pool this year are breaking the law.

Gambling is gambling, isn’t it?

That’s what the Feds say, as there are at least three federal statutes against pay-to-enter tournament pools that are done online.

It doesn’t matter. Wagering on this year’s tournament will probably exceed $12 billion. That’s billion … with a “B,” more money than people put down on the Super Bowl. (NBCNews)
