Storm systems ripped through northeast Colorado and most of Nebraska on the afternoon and evening of Friday, June 26th, 2009.
Reports of softball sized hail was reported on the north side of Lake McConaughy. Broken windows, downed trees, overturned campers and a broken up boat were all reported on the north side of Big Mac.
North Platte saw some power outages, downed trees and power poles and a some train cars were derailed at the Union Pacific Bailey Rail Yards.
Chase County saw the worst of the storms as some roofs were damaged or destroyed, at least 30 power poles were taken down and many trees did not make it through the storm.
Accidents on I-76 west of Julesburg were reported following up to 80 MPH winds and heavy rains, mised with possible funnel clouds.
