Nothing feels quite as good as the arrival of new music. Yesterday, rising star Carly Pearce took to TikTok to announce that she's got a new song called "What Are You Gonna Do" on the way. Adding to the surprise, she let her fans hear a tiny piece of what they can expect when the song is released on September 17.

"Treat me right. Put me first. Be a man of his word. Stay home cause he wanted to. Always fight for my love. Hold on tight like it's something that he couldn't stand to lose. The devil's in the details. I won't tell the hell that he put me through. All I know is that in the end, it wasn't what he did. No, it was what he didn't do," she sings.

In just a matter of moments, she earned the approval of her fans. A number of people told Pearce that they would need to "have a good cry" when this song comes out.

"Yes, finally! After my divorce this year, this is what I need. Thank god, I have an amazing boyfriend now," one fan commented.

"I'm [going to] be driving from Nashville from Wisconsin when this comes out. [It] sounds like I might need to pull over and have a good cry," another fan wrote.

Carly Pearce won't just be releasing this song on September 17. "What Are You Gonna Do" is one of the eight songs that she is expected to add to her critically acclaimed EP, 29. The 15-track album, 29: Written In Stone, will feature hits like "Next Girl" and "Dear Miss Lorretta" along with contributions from Patty Loveless and Ashley McBryde. Celebrating the album's release, she is scheduled to perform at the FivePoint Amphitheater in Irvine, California on September 17 as part of the "Lady A: What A Song Can Do" tour.
