Dylan Scott recruited the best stars for his latest music video: his wife, Blair, and kids, Beckett and Finley. The family teamed up as Scott put his acting skills to the test in his “Lay Down With You” music video, portraying a man getting through a tough work day until he’s home with his family:
“When I walk in the door/ Get to kiss your pretty smile/ That's when it all gets better/ We can sip a little wine/ Spend a little time/ Baby you and I alone together/ The best part of my day is when it's through/ Nothing left to do/ But kick off these boots/ And lay down with you.”
“I joke all the time that I would not be as successful if it was not for my family,” Scott told PEOPLE. “I love them being a part of this. And you know, I don't try to hold back or hide anything. We are a regular normal family and don't try to be anything that we're not. And I think people appreciate that.”
The song is one of 16 to appear on Scott’s latest project, Livin’ My Best Life, which released earlier this month. He co-wrote the track with Matt Alderman and Dallas Davidson, and previously shared on Instagram that it’s one of his favorite music videos he’s made in his career so far. Scott’s latest album also includes “New Truck,” “Amen To That,” “In Our Blood” featuring Jimmie Allen, “Nobody” and other fan-favorites. Livin’ My Best Life follows Scott’s Nothing To Do Town EP that released in 2019. It’s “a personal set filled with the backroads, barstools and church pews that defined the Louisiana native’s youth.” Scott is getting ready to kick off his “Amen To That” Tour, bringing along Erin Kinsey and Lily Rose in select cities.
