Grammy-nominated country star Marcus King has tied the knot!

King said he “fell in love, hard,” when he met his now-wife Briley Hussey. The couple married over the weekend on Sunday (February 19), in a heartwarming ceremony officiated by Country Music Hall of Famer Jamey Johnson, at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. King told PEOPLE that when he and Hussey first met, “she waltzed up on my bus like she owned it, and I was taken with her sweet southern drawl. She asked to connect to the Bluetooth, blared Linda Ronstadt and Aretha Franklin and we sang and danced till it was time for the bus to leave. I told her the next morning to quit her job and marry me instead.”

In addition to his own soulful music — including “Hard Working Man,” “The Well,” “Blood on the Tracks” and more — King has collaborated with some of the biggest names in country music. That includes, for example, being featured on “Stubborn Pride,” one of the songs on Zac Brown Band’s 15-track album, The Comeback, which released in October 2021. Zac Brown Band released a deluxe edition of the album in September 2022, adding new artists to reimagined versions of the previously-released tracks on The Comeback. “Stubborn Pride” got a new twist with Johnson added to the collaboration, and King teamed up with Zac Brown Band to rock the Bridgestone Arena stage with an epic performance during the 56th annual CMA Awards in November 2022.
