Harry & Megan Release details on "Megxit"

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are setting the record straight on their “saddening” split from the British royal family.

The duo released "extensive details" that were agreed at that historic meeting with Queen Elizabeth in January that spelled out Harry and Meghan's new roles.

Though the two spent a ton of money on their Sussex Royal website and branding, they "have agreed that their non-profit organization will not utilize the name ‘Sussex Royal’ or any other iteration of ‘Royal.’”

The couple, who withdrew trademark applications for the name, seemed to take a jab at the Queen, saying that they'll give it up, even though "The Monarchy or Cabinet Office" don't have "any jurisdiction...over the use of the word ‘Royal’ overseas." Translation: they're going along only as a favor to grandma.

They have to place nice because the transition will "undergo a 12-month review," meaning if Harry and Meghan don't behave, there could be consequences.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also get to keep their “HRH” prefix, formally remaining known as His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness, but they won't get to actively use their HRH titles.

Their statement adds that Harry and Meghan have been emotional over the transition, especially over losing their staff. "Over the last month and a half, The Duke and Duchess have remained actively involved in this process, which has understandably been saddening for The Duke and Duchess and their loyal staff, given the closeness of Their Royal Highnesses and their dedicated team."
